Summer Term - Year 1
Saint George's Day: Year 1 have been learning about Saint George’s Day. We learnt that the flag of Saint George has a red cross on a white background and is the flag on England. We made scones and enjoyed them with strawberry jam and cream which represents the colours of the flag. We learnt about that Saint George was probably born in Turkey and was a Roman soldier. We listened to a story about how he saved a village and a Princess from a dragon.
