Our HFS Chaplaincy team plays a vital role in enhancing and promoting the spiritual life of our school, and our school values alongside our faith to students, staff and the wider community. The team is supported by the Headteacher and R.E. Subject leader.
All of our chaplains take joy in wearing their Chaplaincy badge and carrying out different responsibilities within school. Among these responsibilities are leading prayer in Gospel worships, whole school Prayer and Liturgy, plan and lead charity events throughout the year, monitor class reflection areas and display boards and help plan prayer events for key points of the Liturgical seasons.
The team meets regularly for discussions. The meetings give a chance for every Chaplain to share their ideas and together we make decisions about how we can promote the Catholic ethos in the school. They have implemented our prayer partners and prayer bags.
This year, the year 6 Chaplaincy team began to run their own 'Prayer Club' and create displays on the events they have led. Each month they link their prayer focus to Scripture and Catholic Social Teaching.
Each half term, the Chaplaincy team prepare their own newsletter.
