PE days are: Tuesday

Children come to school in their PE kit:

Plain white t-shirt or HFS logo t-shirt, plain black shorts or cycling shorts (NO LOGOS OR PATTERNS), green sweatshirt (optional) or school jumper/cardigan, plain dark joggers or black leggings (NO LOGOS OR PATTERNS).

KS1 classes: Plimsolls and trainers in bag at school

KS2 classes: Wear trainers on the day

Please make sure all jewellery is removed or a pot provided to store their earrings in.

Reading

Our phonics scheme is called ‘Essential Letters and Sounds’ (ELS). Any children who did not pass their Phonics Screening Check at the end of Year 2 will revisit and focus on unknown Phase sounds and they will bring home a phonics book to practise their sounds to be read at home. This book should be brought to school every day in their school book bag. Please encourage your child to read every day; little and often is best.    

For other children, they will bring home colour-banded books, matched to their reading and comprehension ability. 

Homework

Homework will be set each Friday and available on Google Classroom to be completed and 'turned in' by Tuesday the following week. The logins for Spelling Shed, Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS) and Google Drive are in their reading record books.

Communication

Class Dojo is our main point of contact. We will update this platform regularly. If you ever have any non-urgent questions or queries, please send a message through this platform and someone will get back to you as soon as possible. Any urgent messages should be reported through the school office. Thank you for your support.
