SCHOOL GOVERNORS FUND
As a Voluntary Aided School one of the responsibilities of the Governors is the upkeep of the premises including ongoing maintenance and any major building projects. Whilst we do receive financial assistance we are required to contribute 10% of the costs ourselves.
In previous years we have received contributions from the PTA,the Parish and the 100 Club amounting to around £4,000, and as this represents 10% of capital funding, this converts to £40,000 worth of capital expenditure for the school. Major building projects are always in the pipeline and the school needs to raise a minimum of £5,000 each year so that we can secure equivalent funding of £50,000.
If you are in a position to contribute, however small, donations can be made monthly, annually, quarterly or annually. For example a £5 per month donation (£60 per year) would equate to £600 in capital expenditure. If as a taxpayer you are able to covenant your contribution then this will provide extra finance.
