Year 4 enjoying putting their knowledge of perimeter to the test.

Year 4 created their own characters based on the story of Supertato , they then wrote character descriptions.

World Book Day 2016 - The biggest Book Show on Earth

Year 4 have a fantastic opportunity to visit the Mercury Theatre (Colchester) on Wednesday 24th February to be part of the 'Biggest Book Show on Earth'.  They will be able to hear from 6 of the country's top authors.  Visit their websites below. 

Look out for a letter from class giving details and cost.


Homework will be set each Friday (sent home in their named plastic wallets).  Please could you encourage your child to return these to the homework tray by the following Friday. 

The children also take their Reading Record book home every day, it needs to be written in each time they read. Once their AR book has been read it needs to be signed in the Reading Record book so they can do an AR quiz. 

PE days for Spring and Summer term are:

Thursday (inside PE)

Wednesday - during PPA sessions with Mr Fyfe (outside weather permitting)

Friday - (outdoor PE weather permitting)

Please ensure children can remove their own ear rings. If they are unable to remove them by themselves, please ensure they are not wearing them on these days.  All clothing needs to be clearly labelled.

Literacy- Year 4 played games to find out what they needed to know in order to write their own instructions for a game. Year 4 then created their own games and wrote instructions for them.
