Please could we have any small bits of recyclable packaging (small boxes, shoe boxes, washed out yoghurt pots, any other suitable food packaging, kitchen roll tubes - not toilet roll tubes) by next Monday, in order that Y1 can make some houses for DT.
Spellings for week beginning 12th December.
Each child has the following six spellings for a test on Friday 16th December:
you, your, they, here, there, where.
Please remind your child to bring in their practise sheet if they would like to have feedback on how they did. Thank you.
** PLEASE ENSURE YOUR CHILD HAS THEIR FULL WINTER P.E KIT IN SCHOOL FOR FRIDAY 9TH DECEMBER. THEY NEED TO HAVE THEIR PE TOPS, A WARM SWEATSHIRT, JOGGING BOTTOMS, SOCKS & OLD TRAINERS. WITHOUT THE CORRECT P.E. KIT, THEY WILL BE UNABLE TO PARTCIPATE IN THE CROSS COUNTRY COMPETITION!**
The children were given their roles, on Friday, for this year's nativity. Preparations and practise have begun!
Letters will be given out in due course, explaining details of tickets, times etc. Please speak to either Mrs Pugh or myself if you have any questions or concerns in the mean time and we look forward to seeing many of you on the day!
This year, performances will take place on Wednesday 14th December.
This week has been Anti-bullying week and the children have discussed as a class how they could all be a better friend and suggested words to represent those qualities.
Just to let you know we have re-allocated Bug Club books according to the children's new book levels. Who will read the most books?
Abacus maths games have also been added. There are exciting maths challenges to complete - bronze, silver and gold. Who can complete the most challenges and levels I wonder?
A warm welcome to Class 1 from Mrs Pugh, Mrs Marquez and Mrs Jardine
