As part of our science curriculum Year 2 recently went to Abberton Reservoir, where we looked at minibeasts, identifying plants and pond creatures using a sorting diagram, food chains, using range of equipment safely and using a table to record our ideas. Please visit the Year 2 class page for photographs of our day!
Year Two have been learning about the Great Fire of London. We linked this to our learning about traditional tales in English, with a focus on The Three Little Pigs and the materials chosen to build their houses. The children can be seen here re-enacting the story sequence in drama which was a way to support writing in class afterwards.
