Week Beginning 01.02.21 Foundation Phonics & Maths Planning

The Worrysaurus read by Rachel Bright the author .

The Week Beginning 1st February we are making our plans a little different. You will find that EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 are going to work together. You get to choose the activities that you want to complete and there are a wide variety suitable for all the age groups that can be shared together or completed independently. The aim of the tasks is to help us all slow down and be kind to ourselves, and try to put our worries aside. Hope you enjoy and we all look forward to hearing and seeing how you have reflected this week. Be sure to post any of your own ideas so we can share them on the website too please.

EYFS Worrysaurus Planner - You choose how and when you would like to try these activities. Links to the year group resources are listed below.

Dear Parents

The DfE guidance requests schools to set a daily amount of home learning for children to do. As a minimum EYFS should aim to achieve 2 hours per day plus

a reading session.

20-30 mins of Literacy work to include Phonics

20-30 mins of Maths work

20-30 mins minimum of Physical activity

20-30 mins of another activity - craft - or fine motor skills like handwriting/colouring/playdough/ exploring water/sand. Watch an information programme or share an information book. Use Busythings for an educational game.

In addition to the above read on a daily basis some home books, ebooks as directed by school or some phonic phrases.

Thank you

The timetable below is a suggestion of how you can set our your child's learning day. if it works for you and for your family. There is no need to follow the order of the timetable if it suits you better to do things in a different order.
