Dear Parents
The DfE guidance requests schools to set a daily amount of home learning for children to do. As a minimum EYFS should aim to achieve 2 hours per day plus
a reading session.
20-30 mins of Literacy work to include Phonics
20-30 mins of Maths work
20-30 mins minimum of Physical activity
20-30 mins of another activity - craft - or fine motor skills like handwriting/colouring/playdough/ exploring water/sand. Watch an information programme or share an information book. Use Busythings for an educational game.
In addition to the above read on a daily basis some home books, ebooks as directed by school or some phonic phrases.
Thank you
The timetable below is a suggestion of how you can set our your child's learning day. if it works for you and for your family. There is no need to follow the order of the timetable if it suits you better to do things in a different order.
