Platinum Jubilee Celebrations
Jubilee Week. Looking at London landmarks with the story of Katie in London, the children began making some of the buildings with construction materials. All leading into the main school Jubilee celebrations.
The Naughty Bus - the children enjoyed re-enacting to storybook and then writing their own mini bus books too.
Celebrating the month of May for Mary. Together we made some salt dough and invited the pupils from Worship Council in Year 6 to help us put together the beads to make a Rosary






Exploring Floating and Sinking. Making junk boats and experimenting with plastic boats . The pirate mini theme led to map making and boat building too.
Re Theme of Growing - the class prepare mini Easter Gardens that they will care for over the Spring break.

World Book Day 2022
God's Family- In Foundation we have been learning about God's family and how we are all a special part of his family

Beginning of Lent , please share and discuss with your child the activity and share on Tapestry your thoughts.
Preparing for Lent and making pancakes for Shrove Tuesday
Outdoor Learning with making bird feeders for the Big Garden Birdwatch and using tools for woodwork
Advent Preparations. Our class Kindness elves helped to remind us how we can be more helpful , later the class made an Advent head dress for our Advent Service






Approaching the celebration of Thanksgiving in America, we talked about Native Americans . We thought about cooking on an open fire so made some S’mores and watched and listened to the flames to help write some poetry too.
Reading Partners
Today has been a very special day in Foundation
We were very excited to meet our new reading partner from year 6!
We really enjoyed listening to stories and making a new friend!
















Remembrance Day
In Foundation we have been learning about Remembrance Day and understanding why we wear poppies.
The children decided to create their own field of poppies and a poppy wreath. We all sat together and looked at our creations while we observed the two minutes silence

Around the World Day
The children have been learning all about Peru and Machu Picchu
The children used the work bench to create their own models and enjoyed hearing the adventures of Paddington Bear in deepest darkest Peru
