This week we launched our pirate topic. We have had lots of fun exploring language and alliteration and lots of excited 7 and 8 year olds rushed off to write their own pirate poems - what a talented bunch they are! As we are preparing to look at position, direction and movement in maths, it felt fitting to head off to bury some treasure. However, some merry pirates were a little too excited to remember where they buried their jewels and their pirate partner couldn't follow directions to find them! Butler Barnicles and his crew have decided that the penalty will be to walk the plank next week! To find out what else we will be doing, please look at our curriculum plan for summer (a copy has gone home today with homework too). Mrs Lonergan
Today, Year Three went to Saffron Walden Museum to learn more about the Ancient Greeks. We had a great time and the children were praised for their good behaviour, inquisitive questioning and knowledgeable responses. We were all very proud of them. The trip enabled the children to deepend their understanding of the past and the way that we piece together clues, to make interpretations using historical artefacts. We hope that you enjoy looking at our pictures.
Welcome to Year 3!
